KaBOOM! Soundwave Art by Local CPCC Students

Last Fall, Central Piedmont Community College students designed and painted a mural for the Rail Trail Symphony project. Their mural “Soundwave Art” is a visual representation of the word KaBOOM! This colorful artwork complements the adjacent fun musical instruments, stage and seating, inviting trail users to stop, play and interact with others. BIG thanks to the students for their partnership and hardwork in leaving their creative mark on the trail!

Bourne Partners Adopts the Rail Trail

Thanks to Bourne Partners who inspired the Adopt-a-Rail Trail program! VP Robert Stanley retrofitted the Adopt-a-City Street application and requested that the City consider allowing his group to adopt a portion of the trail near their office. Keep Charlotte Beautiful was impressed and explored the pilot program in partnership with CATS and Charlotte Center City Partners.

Pre-historic South End Brontosaurus

Have you spotted the dinosaur on the Rail Trail? The "Pre-historic South End Brontosaurus" or "Bicycle-osaurus", as some have called him, was brought to life by artist Amy Hart, of CIEL gallery. For years, South End Neighborhood Association members were inspired by the vision of bringing a dinosaur to South End.
