July 2016 Issue VI

  Dilworth Artisan Station Window Mural

Local artists at Dilworth Artisan Station were challenged to propose an art piece that would span across 20 aluminum panels, installed in the bricked-in windows on the upper two floors of their building façade facing the Rail Trail.  Artist and architect Ron Boozer's artpiece was selected and is now up!

  Tanks & Tees

Our friends at 704 Shop have partnered with us once again to create a series of Rail Trail shirts. These are limited edition shirts and tank tops. A portion of the proceeds from these shirts will help fund future Rail Trail projects. Go on, get yours!

  Futo Buta

Futo Buta is an awesome (and delicious) example of a private business owner's potential to engage the Rail Trail. This restaurant and their patio add to the activity and energy of the trail. Despite not having street frontage this shows how frontage on the Rail Trail and Blue Line have built a successful business!

The Rail Trail will be temporarily closed at times between July 15 - 18, 2016. This closure is necessary for rail maintenance on/near the LYNX Blue Line. Trail users can detour around this closure by following New Bern Street and South Boulevard.
